I just wanted to mention something about slavery. The main ways one becomes a slave are:
being born into it
being sold into it
being captured into it
as a punishment for a crime
It is a legitimate form of commerce in the World and as such welcome in Crosspire. Your character can feel how they want about slavery, but it is actively supported by the Free State Militia and any aggression against slave caravans would be looked on very dimly.
Hmm, I’m working on the basis that the slavers would want their stock fit and able to perform their duties? Cos that might cut a lot of folk out in terms of being quality merchandise (damn, huh?)…
Different slaves for different duties. I am sure they could find a use for all kinds.
Of course if you break a law or a rule and aren’t suitable as a slave there are other ways to deal with the issue.
